Sameer is responsible for leading Mobility & Solutions projects in Infrastructure for KPMG in India with deep experience in ports and maritime sector. He has more than 20 years of experience leading teams involved in studies in Transport Infrastructure segments and assisting PEs in transactions.
He specializes in surface transport and has been with KPMG for more than 18 years. Sameer is currently working on green transition in shipping, ports and inland waterways and overall supporting clients to move towards green transport. Other areas of expertise is on maritime financing, smart ports and maritime solutions.
He has provided advice on entry strategies, performance improvement programs, financial models, feasibility studies, policy & regulatory matters, program management, business transformation, PPP procurement, M&A and traffic modelling / market analysis reports for leading maritime clients in the private and Government sector for more than 15 years across shipping, ports, logistics, express cargo and warehousing as well as shipyards, road, rail and waterway assignments. He has advised Governments and Government agencies, private developers, infrastructure funds, Private Equity firms, international investors and Multi-national corporations and multilateral financial institutions.
Prior to joining KPMG, Sameer has worked with the Tata Strategic Management Group for more than 4 years as a project leader wherein he advised the Tata Group in India and abroad for its new business and inorganic growth initiatives.
Sameer has undertaken assignments for clients in Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, Israel, Viet Nam, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Ghana, Australia, UAE, Oman, KSA, Georgia, Finland, Philippines, Qatar, Bahrain, and Singapore. He has spoken at smart port events in Hamburg & Singapore.
