Welcome to the 2023 KPMG Global Indirect Tax Conference

7-8 February 2023 | Powerscourt Hotel, Dublin, Ireland | Powerscourt Co. Dublin, A98 DR12, Ireland

The opportunities for indirect tax leaders to add value to their business has never been greater. The relevance, agility, connectivity, and data-driven mindset of indirect tax leaders come to the fore, provided they can navigate both internal and external forces to achieve positive organizational change and results.

The world of indirect taxes is changing, and the recent "VAT in the Digital Age" reform proposals are just the beginning. From delivering an innovative and responsive indirect tax function to managing effective cashflows and keeping up to speed with the ever-evolving technical, technological and data-driven compliance requirements, the role of the indirect tax leader must be fit for the times. Layer on top the additional political, socioeconomic and environmental influences which can impact an organization, this is the new reality that indirect tax leaders face — but you don’t have to navigate it alone.

This exciting in-person event brings together indirect tax leaders and luminaries from many of the largest global organizations, together with KPMG specialists who are passionate about managing and championing change in an evolving indirect tax landscape. Together, we can navigate the new reality. This is an invite-only event, which is being extended to a select group of leaders around the world and is not transferable.

Through a series of plenary, roundtable and in-depth collaboration sessions with both external and KPMG Global Indirect Tax subject matter experts, industry leaders and representatives from the regulators, attendees will have the opportunity to share their experiences and perspectives on the evolving indirect tax landscape and consider the relevance to the broader business agenda.

Expect to be enlightened by innovative viewpoints and ideas, equipped with technical knowledge and enriched by diverse experiences from your peers — all while strengthening your professional network. But above all, this event is highly participatory, so please bring your best self to contribute, listen and engage.

This event is designed to help you develop the professional and personal skills to keep pace with the evolving landscape. It offers a unique opportunity to understand the changing nature of indirect taxes, the modernization and reforms to indirect tax systems (such as e-invoicing and digital reporting), the role of the indirect tax function in the context of the ESG agenda and more.

In a highly interactive manner, we will explore possible approaches that can help generate value for businesses through the lens of indirect taxes, building personal influence, effective stakeholder management, and indirect tax compliance function design.
