David is the Wealth and Asset Management Sector Lead for the EMA Financial Services Regulatory Insight Centre (RIC). David is a chartered accountant and has almost 10 years’ experience of regulating and auditing asset managers. David joined KPMG in March 2022 from the FCA where he worked in Asset Management Supervision. Most recently, David was the FCA’s asset management “portfolio lead”. His main areas of focus were on liquidity management in open-ended funds, EU withdrawal planning, and the FCA’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2021 David was seconded to the Bank of England where he contributed to the Bank’s thinking on investment funds in the context of financial stability. Prior to joining the FCA, David was an external auditor specialising in asset managers, hedge fund managers, and custody banks.
