At KPMG in India, we recognise the value of practical skills and hands-on experience in the field of cyber security. Capture the flag, 2024 provides a platform for participants to showcase their abilities and problem-solving skills in various cyber security domains. We believe this event is for you, if you would like to become a team member of the Cyber Security practice.

The hackathon provides an opportunity for you to share your knowledge and showcase what you can do.

The winners of the hackathon would get the opportunity to work with and learn from the cyber security team at KPMG in India*.

Q: Is this an online event?

A: Yes, this is an online event. The registered participants shall receive the details about the event on their registered email ID

Q: How do I register for the CTF?

A: You can register for the CTF by entering your details in the registration link. Please make sure the details entered by you are right, since all communications further to the registration will be sent to the details mentioned in the registration form

Q: How do I sign up for the contest?

A: You can sign up for the CTF through the registration link on this page. Make sure to register before the deadline (7 August 2024).

Q: Who can participate in the CTF contest?

A: The contest is open to individual college freshers, eager to test and enhance their cybersecurity skills.

Q: What are the eligibility requirements to participate?

A: While the CTF is open to all participants, only final-year students graduating in 2025 will be considered for the next stage of the process.

Q: Can I participate individually, or do I need to form a team?

A: This is not a team event. You are to register as an individual participant only. Team submissions will lead to disqualifications. The platform is equipped to monitor duplication of efforts.

Q: What skills can I expect to learn from this contest?

A: Participants will be exposed to quick critical thinking with technical expertise in cybersecurity tools and techniques, clubbed with collaboration, adaptability, and attention to detail.

Q: What is the scoring mechanism for the challenges?

A: The point system for challenges will vary depending on the difficulty of the challenge. Harder challenges will be worth more points.

Q: Will there be a leaderboard to track progress?

A: The leaderboard is not published for all. However, you can track your progress and points scored through the CTF dashboard.

Q: How will the winners be announced?

A: The event aims to acquire talents. Rather than a winner’s announcement, based on performance in the CTF challenge, shortlisted candidates will be contacted by our HR team on further process

Q: What is the policy on unauthorised activities?

A: We maintain a strict policy against unauthorised activities. Any participant involved in such activity will be immediately disqualified. We encourage integrity and fair play, as these are crucial skills for a career in cybersecurity.

Q: Will I receive a certificate for participating in the CTF?

A: Yes, eligible participants would receive an e-certificate for participation after the event ends.

Q: Is there a help desk or forum for participants to ask questions?

A:Yes, there will be a dedicated forum or channel for participants to ask questions and get help during the CTF. Details regarding the same shall be communicated to you before the start of the event.
