James has over 18 years’ experience of working in the fields of planning, tourism and recreation in Ireland, the UK, New Zealand, Portugal and Georgia. Areas of interest include destination planning and strategic tourism master-planning, feasibility analysis, recreation planning and urban regeneration.
James is a Chartered Town Planner and holds a BA (Hons) in Town and Country Planning and a postgraduate degree in Town Planning (Bristol); and an MSc in Tourism, Conservation and Sustainable Development. James is a corporate member of both the Royal Town Planning Institute and the Irish Planning Institute, and a Fellow of the Institute of Place Management. James is also a national jury member for the Irish Blue Flag Beach Awards since 2012.
