Matt’s history in operational strategy began while he was still in university in Sydney and trying to make ends meet. He had an entry-level job at the time scanning documents for the school, and though it was very boring, he found his own way of making it interesting: he revolutionized the process. By the end of his contract, he had found workflows to speed it up by three times, and it was then that he found what he wanted to do with his life.
He joined KPMG in 2012 as a Management Consultant, but after his first year he joined Strategy to satisfy his curiosity for not just how things happened, but why they happened.
Since then, he has worked throughout many sectors including power and utilities, which he sees as an area of focus because of the amount of change on the horizon. He’s driven by transformational disruption and is inspired by the growth in developing countries.
Matt is currently learning Hindi and Urdu, and one day he plans to return to India where he once lived for a year.
