Shalini Pillay

Shalini Pillay is KPMG in India’s Office Managing Partner (OMP) for Bengaluru, a part of the India Leadership Team and a member of board for a few KPMG entities. She is responsible for the firm’s business in the Bengaluru market, managing several key accounts and client relationships, liaising with industry associations and anchoring the firm’s brand presence.

An engineer and CA by training, Shalini has been with the firm for more than 17 years over a career in management consulting spanning 25 years. She has been involved in delivering a full range of business advisory and financial consulting services to clients across a wide range of industries. She has worked with many large and medium-sized organizations, helping them define and realise their strategic objectives and growth targets. Shalini has led the post-merger integration services business and has also led operational integration across sectors ranging from financial services, telecom, pharmaceuticals, ITeS and consumer products. She has successfully managed the programme across all aspects of the business value chain. She has also led CFO Advisory Services, and has worked alongside several CFOs in their journey to build a finance function of the future.

Shalini also headed the HR function for KPMG in India prior to taking on the role of OMP. She has represented the firm at several forums, which have focused on the people agenda. During her tenure as Head of People, Performance & Culture at KPMG in India, she also worked on analysing market dynamics, studying evolving trends and came up with new and solutions to address employee needs.

Today, she brings to bear all of her consulting experience and deep knowledge of the organisation to manage the business in Bengaluru while also driving collaboration with the Firm in the Silicon Valley.
