Bob Mischler

Bob is the U.S. national principal-in-charge for KPMG’s Global Mobility Services (GMS) practice, leading a team of over 800 partners and professionals to provide tax, technology, and advisory services to companies with mobile employees that cross borders both internationally and within the United States.

Prior to his current role, Bob has held various leadership positions within the GMS practice. Most recently, he served as the U.S. Operations Leader for GMS and led our global technology strategy and business. He also serves as a member of the GMS Global Executive Board. In his technology role, Bob set the direction, strategy and investment for global mobility technology and how technology can help companies manage the complexities of international assignments and business travel. Earlier in his career, Bob spent five years on an international assignment in Tokyo, where he co-led KPMG's global mobility practice. He also served as the GMS partner liaison to Human Resources, overseeing the development of various initiatives involving performance management, recruiting, and training.

Bob has more than 25 years of experience providing multinational companies with tax advisory and compliance services in the area of global mobility. He has served as the lead GMS tax partner on some of the firm’s most prestigious clients. Bob has extensive experience in the expatriate tax area, specifically around the international tax and social security aspects impacting internationally mobile employees. Bob also has assisted companies with the cross border issues relating to global equity and the relevant challenges companies deal with in complying with reporting and withholding tax rules governing equity compensation for internationally mobile employees.
