Paul leads KPMG’s UK Sustainability Reporting and Assurance service line and has worked with a broad range of clients to assist them with strategy, reporting and assurance at various stages of their sustainability journeys: from those that are just beginning to those that have been publically reporting for almost a decade. Paul originally trained in financial audit and has been providing assurance services at KPMG for 20 years. He has led numerous assurance engagements with clients including FTSE 100 businesses, UK Subsidiaries of German DAX 30 companies, other public interest organisations and mid market businesses and businesses in the supply chains of large multinationals. Under the broad heading of Sustainability, Paul has a range of experience in providing assurance over increasingly complex non-financial information including assurance over Green Bonds, Ethical Trading and numerous Health, Safety, Environmental and Social information. Paul spent 2 years seconded to HRH The Prince of Wales. He played a key role in The Prince’s Rainforests Project focused on forest valuation, the costs of REDD, possible payment models for a carbon system and the associated development aspects for local peoples. Paul also led the PRP’s corporate engagement working with sustainability and communication leaders in UK large businesses.
