Jane Collins

Jane has over 10 years of international work experience within government, the private sector and academia relevant to conservation of the marine environment. With a keen interest in ocean science and policy, Jane completed a PhD in 2020 involving research into policy options for an Implementing Agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea for the ‘Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biodiversity in Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction’ (BBNJ). Since, she has represented the UK at United Nations BBNJ conferences, operating as subject matter specialist on marine genetic resources and providing advice on workable approaches towards supporting compliance at the national level.
