Bill joined KPMG as Senior Advisor, Global Financial Services in May 2022 working alongside the Financial Services (FS) Global Leadership Team to help strengthen our client offering and bring insights and depth of experience to the market. An expert in Global FS regulation, Bill served as Secretary General of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision from 2014 to 2019, directing the work of the Basel Committee and chairing its Policy Development Group and Corporate Governance Task Force. He represented the BCBS on the Financial Stability Board and several of its standing committees. Before joining the Basel Committee Secretariat in 1999, Bill worked for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, and as a bank examiner for the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. He began his career as a loan officer for a New York City-based financial institution. Alongside his role in KPMG, Bill sits on various boards of directors and advisory boards.
