David was appointed into the new role of KPMG Global head of AI in December 2023. In this newly created role, David helped drive and implement KPMG’s AI strategy to apply emerging AI technologies to enhance client engagements and the employee experience in a manner that was responsible, trustworthy and safe. This included equipping KPMG professionals with the latest AI tooling, developing AI solutions for clients and building a global AI immersion program to help ensure KPMG teams globally, were able to leverage the benefits of AI.
Prior to this role, David was the UK Head of Consulting from April 2017. He served on the UK Executive Committee from November 2015 to December 2023. He also served as the Chief Transformation Officer for KPMG in the UK.
David specialised in helping his clients develop their vision and strategy, setting their programmes up for success and partnered with them to implement their planned transformational outcomes. David was previously working as the firm’s Chief Transformation Officer and prior to that he led KPMG’s Management Consulting business in the Corporates Sector.
David is retiring from KPMG in September 2025 and is being succeeded by Steve Chase.
