Our Digital Gateway for Law is a KPMG proprietary technology platform through which we offer clients a range of legal solutions. Cloud-based and powered by Microsoft Azure, Digital Gateway provides clients with significant efficiency benefits when executing transactions and managing reporting and compliance requirements, as well as facilitating data collation, analysis, and reporting across a group structure.

Digital Gateway for Law

Digital Gateway for Law creates a single source of truth for group structure and transactional data. We have overlaid an AI-powered cognitive search capability that enables clients to obtain both efficiencies in terms of producing historic information and provides enhanced data analysis opportunities to drive value for the business from its legal and contractual information. The pooling of legal data also reduces the burden of and simplifies the preparation for future corporate transactions. Digital Gateway is designed as a flexible enterprise solution that can be adapted for specific client needs and can be easily integrated into a client's technology environment.

Key elements of Digital Gateway for Law include:

Group structure data can be quickly uploaded, enabling you to visualise the group, drill down on key countries or business units, and interrogate the company data, utilising our AI powered search and reporting functionality. Changes to the group can be planned quickly through our steps tool that allows for complex steps plans, associated timelines, and key documentation to be generated automatically. The tool also facilitates project management of the reorganisation allowing for key metrics to be monitored in real time, for automated alerts and notifications to key team members, and for easy generation of management reports. Key documents are uploaded to and retained within the platform, providing a single pool of legal data.

Our GEM tool, located within Digital Gateway, enables our specialist company secretarial team to support you with the burden of managing the day-to-day meeting, filing and reporting requirements for your group entities as well as executing the standard corporate actions. The workflow capability within the GEM tool provides a simple method for clients to drive forward key tasks associated with their group entities.

Clients face increasing reporting and filing obligations due to an ever-expanding regulatory regime. Digital Gateway can be utilised to help you collate and manage data across a range of regimes including foreign subsidies, merger control, foreign investment, and CSRD. Once data has been received and organised it can be used for reporting, analysis of filing requirements, and shared with third parties and other advisers to facilitate the production of filings and transaction execution. Our specialist regulatory teams can support with the interpretation and collation of data and the filing processes as part of an advisory or managed service.
