Jonathan Holt

Jon was appointed as the KPMG in the UK Chief Executive Officer in April 2021. In addition, Jon is a UK Board Member, Global Executive Committee Member, and a Global Board Member.

As Chief Executive, Jon is Chair of the UK Executive Committee, responsible for over 22,500 employees (of which 17,500 are in the UK) and driving his strategic ambition to become the fastest growing, most connected, and most trusted professional services firm.

In Jon’s first year of appointment, KPMG UK had one of it’s best-performing years in history and this performance continued into FY22. In FY21 KPMG disposed of its restructuring business and the KPMG partners supported Jon to reinvest the entire proceeds back into the business as part of Jon’s three-year business strategy. He has restructured and recapitalised the Partnership, significantly strengthened the firms balance sheet, ensured the Partners are invested for the medium term, and focused on responsible and sustainable growth. Jon is a Trustee of Patchwork Foundation – a non-partisan charity supporting participation of young people in democracy and civil society, and a member of the CityUK Leadership Council.

Jon joined KPMG’s Financial Services Audit practice in 1994. He was made an Audit Partner in 2006 and has led a wide range of client engagements across Banking, Insurance, and Asset Management including as the Global Lead Audit Partner for Old Mutual Plc until 2018. From 2013 to 2017 Jon was the Office Senior Partner in Manchester and from 2017 to 2019 he was UK Head of Financial Services.

Jon was made the UK Head of Audit in 2019, a member of the Executive Board and Global Audit Steering Committee, continuing to act for audited entities as the relationship partner (including Citibank, RSA), Quality Control Partner (including L&G) and he acted as the Reporting Accounting for the FTSE 100 listing of M+G.
