Saurabh Kamdar

Saurabh leads commercial due diligence for energy and infrastructure sectors for KPMG in India. He has 20 years’ experience in management consulting, advising C level executives on business, strategy, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Saurabh is an energy and clean technology domain expert and has worked extensively on business strategy for corporations as well as deal due diligence for private equity and pension fund clients. He has led commercial, market, and business due diligence for 100+ transactions. He has advised on 15+ successful M&A transactions across power, renewable energy, oil and gas, and highway segments. 

Saurabh has advised clients across the energy transition spectrum on renewable energy, green hydrogen, energy storage, biofuels, waste to energy as well as recycling.  He has also worked with corporations and banks on sustainability reporting, green financing, climate risk, and net zero considerations.

Beyond energy, Saurabh has also worked across transportation, especially highways and ports. He has worked with multilaterals and policymakers on country-level infrastructure investment programmes and national energy sector policy. During his career, he has worked with clients in over 10 countries, including Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Kenya and Hong Kong (SAR), China.
