In an era defined by geopolitical uncertainty, accelerating regulatory change and increasing competition for capital, tax leaders are being called upon not only to navigate complexity but to help shape strategic outcomes.

      Please join us at the KPMG Global Asset Management and Private Equity Tax Executive Forum which will provide a unique opportunity for global and regional asset management leaders to connect, collaborate, and help shape the future of asset management tax together. This event will be intentionally limited to fifty leaders to help foster meaningful dialogue, exchange of experience and genuine peer-to-peer insight.

      Over two days, delegates will hear from international policymakers, industry leaders and senior KPMG specialists as they explore pivotal themes shaping the future of our sector, including:

      • Geopolitics, tax policy and their impact on global investment and dealmaking;
      • How market dynamics are evolving across private markets, traditional asset classes, fundraising and global distribution;
      • How products are structured, positioned and delivered to a broader investor base, and
      • How forward-looking tax functions are redefining themselves - combining agility, smart technology, real-time data and new talent to amplify strategic value.

      We look forward to welcoming you.

      May is a pleasant month to visit London although light rain should still be expected. The city enjoys long daylight hours, with the sun setting after 8:45 PM.

      • Average daytime temperature: 18°C (64°F)
      • Evening temperature: 7–10°C (44–50°F)
      • Rainfall: Light rain is possible, so a light jacket or umbrella is recommended.

      As in all large cities, crime rates vary greatly from area to area. Whilst London is rated as a LOW-risk destination, crime does happen there. Petty and opportunistic street crime (mostly bag snatching and pickpocketing) is the main threat for business travelers, and such thefts frequently occur in tourist and shopping areas, marketplaces, transportation hubs, and other crowded areas.

      London's city center is generally safe, even at night, though ungated parks should be avoided after dark. In some locations (especially less affluent neighborhoods in the north and east of the city and elsewhere on its fringes), gun crime, mugging and vehicle theft pose a problem.

      There is a latent but credible risk of international terrorism, although it currently poses more of an incidental than a direct risk.

      Protests for political, environmental, and socio-economic reasons sometimes occur but are well policed and usually peaceful. Climate-related protests are a regular occurrence, often organised by the ‘Extinction Rebellion’ and ‘Just Stop Oil’ activist movements. Street protests and demonstrations should be avoided as a rule.

      You must exercise vigilance to ensure a safe visit. The following are recommended precautions:

      • Be aware of your surroundings. Watch out for pickpockets in crowded locations.
      • Use caution if you must walk on the streets at night, even in groups.
      • Maintain good ‘situational awareness’ and report any suspicious packages or behaviour to the police.
      • Do not wear or display in public anything that appears of great value (e.g., jewellery).
      • Use caution if using your mobile telephone in public locations.
      • Only use ATM machines that are located within bank premises and other secure locations.
      • Do not carry your passport with you but instead carry a copy.
      • Make sure your credit card does not leave your control to avoid fraud.
      • Familiarize yourself with the hotel’s emergency exit locations and routes.
      • Immediately contact the police or fire department (dial 999) in the event of a security or medical emergency. At the hotel, call the front desk.

      Please direct any questions, concerns or reporting of incidents to the event staff.
