Mr. Richard Huang is a founding member of KPMG Carbon Resource Assurance and Advisory Services Co. Ltd., and the Managing Director of the Company. He graduated from the department of Public Health at National Taiwan University and obtained advanced degrees in Environmental Engineering and Engineering Management abroad. In the field of environment, he has possessed various expertise from health, engineering and management aspects.

Mr. Huang is one of the pioneers in Taiwan to perform greenhouse gas (GHG) verification and validation. He has led a cross-sector carbon team of SGS Taiwan to develop from scratch the third-party verification capability of GHG in accordance with the ISO14064 voluntary standard. He has performed verification services for enterprises’ GHG inventory and validation services for GHG reduction projects. Since Taiwan cannot participate in the United Nations’ GHG mechanism, Taiwanese companies have tomust follow the international voluntary mechanism for GHG reduction projects. In this regard, he has performed validation for the first Taiwan GHG reduction project against Gold Standard and against Voluntary Carbon Standard respectively. Besides, he has also been engaged in the development of solar power projects overseas with multinational teams. During his stay in Taiwan, he joined Taiwan Cement Group and CTCI Group and participated in a number ofserveral domestic and international BOT Waste-to-Energy projects to convert waste into renewable energy.

Mr. Huang owns extensive experience in providing GHG verification, validation and assurance services, as well as expertise in renewable energy, project management and international market development. He can provide domestic and foreign　customers with GHG assurance and related carbon consultancy services.
