Audit & Assurance
Location: Lahore
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution and completion of a portfolio of large and complex audit engagements (listed entities, group audits and public-interest entities) in accordance with ISAs, IFRS and the firm’s audit methodology, working directly with the Engagement Partner;
- Manage multiple engagement teams concurrently, with full accountability for audit quality, deadlines, budgets and engagement economics (staffing, WIP, billing and recoverability);
- Own the engagement risk assessment, audit strategy and responses to significant risks; resolve complex accounting and auditing matters and lead technical consultations;
- Deliver review-ready audit files with minimal rework, ready for Partner and Engagement Quality Review;
- Act as the senior day-to-day contact for CFOs, Audit Committees and Boards, including presentation of significant findings, control deficiencies and key audit matters;
- Drive business development: identify and pursue opportunities, lead proposals, pricing and pitches, and convert new engagements for the practice;
- Coach, supervise and develop Managers, Seniors and Associates; deliver structured performance feedback and support the department’s talent pipeline.
Eligibility Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (ICAP, ICAEW, ACCA or equivalent);
- Minimum 6 years’ post-qualification experience in external audit at Manager level or above at a Big 4 firm;
- Proven track record of managing large and complex engagements (listed entities, group audits, public-interest entities) with a strong client portfolio;
- Demonstrated experience of leading multiple engagement teams concurrently;
- Strong technical command of IFRS, ISAs and the Companies Act 2017;
- Excellent project management and client-dealing skills; credible with CFOs, Audit Committees and Boards;
- Works with minimal supervision; goal- and target-oriented with a strong performance record;
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. Demonstrated business development capability – proposals led and engagements won;
- Audit experience with banks / financial institutions will be an added advantage.
