Niven Huang

Dr. Niven Huang has been the General Manager of KPMG Sustainability Consulting Co., Ltd., in Taiwan since July of 2013. He was the Chairman of the Advisory Board of ASrIA (The Association of Sustainable and Responsible Investment in Asia), which is based in Hong Kong, from 2012-2015. He has served as a council member for the National Council of Sustainable Development since 2016. Dr. Huang is a pioneer in Taiwan for promoting CSR, sustainability reporting, SRI, corporate sustainability strategy, and carbon management. Before joining KPMG, he was the Secretary General of the Business Council for Sustainable Development in Taiwan (BCSD-Taiwan) for 16 years, and he regularly presents on sustainability in Taiwan and internationally.

Dr. Huang received the Ph.D. degree of Chemical Engineering from Chung Yuan Christian University. Currently, he is also a part time associate professor of several universities in Taiwan, including the most leading advanced MBA and EMBA at National Cheng Chi University. He sits in the judge panels of several public and private Awards of CSR, Excellence in Environment, and Sustainability in Taiwan and Asia.

Professional Service Experience

Dr. Huang is a pioneer in Taiwan for promoting CSR, sustainability reporting, SRI, corporate sustainability strategy and carbon management. He sits in various committees of government and company in sustainable development or green economy and regularly presents on corporate sustainability in Taiwan and internationally.

Dr. Huang now is promoting the concept and methodology for the assessment of social return on investment by social enterprises, social NPOs and companies’ CSR programs in Taiwan.
