As a Director in KPMG’s International Standards Group, Barbara plays a key role in driving consistency and quality in the implementation and application of the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). She does this through knowledge sharing, the development of guidance, and the interpretation of complex technical and application issues.
Barbara brings deep market insight from her previous role as Head of Sustainability Reporting at a major bank, where she led corporate sustainability reporting and played a critical role in ESRS implementation. Her practical experience spans the integration of ESG into governance, risk management, and strategy, as well as addressing the operational realities of sustainability reporting—such as data collection, technology enablement, and assurance readiness.
She is a qualified ACCA accountant, and her career has included roles in consulting, standard‑setting and financial supervision.
