Tomokazu Sekiguchi, a partner of KPMG in Japan, is a partner and executive officer of KPMG in Japan. He is also the vice-chair of the corporate and sustainability reporting topic team at KPMG international. Prior to joining KPMG, he worked for Financial Services Agency of Japan from 2004 to 2009, where he was involved in accounting/auditing/disclosure-related policy making activities of the International Organization of the Securities Commission (IOSCO). He also served as a full-time board member for the Accounting Standards Board of Japan (ASBJ) from 2013 to 2016. Further, he also served as a part-time board member for the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) from 2009 to 2014. From September 2023, he is a member of the Transition Implementation Group on IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 for the International Sustainability Standards Board.
