Richard is a Financial Services Partner at KPMG in the Netherlands and is KPMG’s Global Banking Audit Quality Leader.
He has over 19 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary, international teams serving the financial sector, including G-SIFI banks, broker/dealers, fund managers and other financial services organisations.
In his global role, Richard leads KPMG’s global initiatives on the audit approach and execution of bank audits. This includes developing audit methodology and accounting guidance for KPMG’s global network, driving strategic developments in audit quality, and engaging with global banking regulators on emerging issues.
Richard previously spent 12 years in KPMG’s UK financial services practice and also spent three years in the global International Standards Group, specialising in consolidation and central bank audits. He began his career at KPMG in Canada serving a number of industries including risk and controls advisory.
