He is a member of the Global Board, of the Global Council of KPMG International and of the Board of KPMG in the Americas. Mr. Melo is an accountant enrolled with the Regional Accounting Council (CRC) in São Paulo and registered with the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM). He is one of the partners responsible for KPMG's initiatives taken by the Corporate Governance practice, which coordinates the activities of the Audit Committee Institute (ACI).

    He has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Graduate Certificate in Financial and Accounting Analysis.

    Pedro Melo is a member of the Board of the Brazilian Institute of Independent Auditors (IBRACON), of the Brazilian Institute of Finance Executives of São Paulo (IBEF SP) and of the American Chamber of Commerce in Brazil (AMCHAM Brazil). He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Accounting - ABRACICON and of the São Paulo Academy of Accounting. Mr. Melo's achievements have been recognized by the industry over the years: in 2009 he was awarded “Prêmio Destaque” by IBEF and in 2014 he was given the “ANEFAC Profissional do Ano 2014” award by the National Association of Finance, Administration and Accounting Professionals as the best accounting professional.
