Len is currently the Global Head of Regulatory Affairs, Audit, KPMG International contributing to enhancing audit quality and fostering transparent, respectful relationships with the global regulatory community.

Throughout Len’s career, he’s had the privilege of serving in various leadership and advisory roles. These include his appointment as Deputy Chair and member of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB), becoming the first U.S.-licensed CPA to serve on the Listing Committee of the ChiNext Board at the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and representing the Asia-Pacific region on KPMG’s Global Regulatory Steering Group and Global Audit Regulatory Oversight Committee.

Within the accounting profession, he has served as Chair and member of the Center of Excellence for External Reporting at CPA Australia, as well as a member of the Chartered Global Management Accountants (CGMA) North Asia 100 Management Accounting Think Tank. These roles have allowed Len to advocate for the accounting profession’s values and its essential role in capital markets and the global economy, always with the public interest at the forefront.

Prior to Len’s two separate tenures at KPMG, he worked at the SEC as an Associate Chief Accountant in the Office of the Chief Accountant (OCA) and as a senior staff member in the Office of Assessment and Continuous Improvement (ACI). At OCA, he focused on improving financial reporting quality, overseeing the PCAOB, and addressing international accounting, auditing, and governance matters. Len was also actively involved in regulatory initiatives led by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). At ACI, he concentrated on evaluating the effectiveness of the Commission’s Disclosure Review Program, as mandated by Section 408 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Earlier in Len’s career, he held senior financial reporting roles at a U.S.-based global telecommunications company, where he worked on developing infrastructure projects in emerging markets and the European Union.

Having lived and worked in Asia, the U.S., the U.K., and spent significant time in Australia, Len has developed a strong appreciation for diverse perspectives and cultural nuances. His experience as an auditor, regulator, and management professional has equipped him with the ability to navigate complex challenges and build consensus effectively.
