Pilar is the KPMG Global ESG Legal lead, supporting the development of KPMG ESG Strategy in the legal network of KPMG. She is directly involved in multiple international and pan-European KPMG ESG-working groups and taskforces for the monitoring and implementation of ESG related regulation and initiatives.
She leads and coordinates relevant ESG projects such as SFDR, Green Financing and Green-MiFID for Top Tier national and international financial firms, including banks, management companies and insurance companies, as well as other private-banking firms.
She manages the development of the Greenwashing line of services of KPMG that monitors the trends, regulation and litigation on an ongoing basis in over 50 countries. The services in this field include among others training for awareness, greenwashing risk management frameworks, mitigation strategies for litigation.
Pilar leads in KPMG Abogados Spain the legal and regulatory practice to the Financial Sector. She has over 15 years of experience in legal and regulatory advice to the Financial Sector, with strong specialization in Investment services and the asset management industry. In the recent years, she is focused in ESG projects for financial entities.
Within the ESG area, Pilar has made relevant publications on this area and actively participate in think-tanks such as FIDE with the University of Oxford.
Pilar lectures in ESADE University and Universidad de Estudios a Distancia (UNED), where she has introduced different ESG topics and lessons during the recent years.
