Mike Nelsey

Mike has a long and distinguished career in the area of cyber security.

After an initial career in Banking across a number of management roles in lending, HR, training and administration, Mike moved into the area of IT consultancy.

In this domain he has worked in business and delivery leadership roles, founding and building solution-focussed consultancies built around high-performing teams.

Mike has in-depth knowledge around the challenges of justifying, implementing and embedding successful high-value security programmes across multiple sectors.  He regularly works with clients at commercial and programme engagement levels to advise and guide on these crucial aspects, ensuring that clients can both create and measure the business value of information security.

Representative Clients -

Mike has acted as the primary relationship lead for key clients, managing these over multi-year time periods.  These include:

• UK financial services: Multi-year delivery of workforce identity management, including the building of managed service and embedding of overall incremental service improvement functions
• UK oil exploration company: Worked with client and vendor in an advisory capacity to bring a failing identity and access management (IAM) programme back on track
• UK exhibitions company: Ensured successful delivery of a large-scale IAM transformation in a complex, highly-charged and time pressured environment
• UK Policing – National strategy for police information systems (NSPIS) contract for all UK police forces – access control/federation
