Danny has 20 years of advisory, transaction  and audit and experience with KPMG. He currently serves as a partner in KPMG’s insurance practice, where he leads the firm’s services relating to IFRS and the reporting aspects of Solvency II.

Danny has advised insurance companies on accounting and regulatory issues for the last ten years. He has extensive experience of insurance accounting issues.He is a member of the ICAEW’s insurance committee. He is a member of KPMG’s international steering group on IFRS phase II.

Danny has led over 40 accounting and regulatory advisory assignments in the insurance industry over the last six years. He is leading the reporting and disclosure work stream at a major US-based life insurer that is implementing Solvency II in Europe. The engagement has provided the client with a set of tools and methodology to implement the reporting requirements throughout a number of locations in Europe.

He has led a number of assignments for insurers establishing their pillar 3 projects, encompassing gap analysis, project planning, data sourcing, systems selection and technical requirements. He has led the economic capital work stream with a major international insurer that is implementing Solvency II. The engagement has given him deep insight into the challenges and opportunities raised by economic capital modelling by insurers.

He has completed a major assignment with a global insurer completing the Solvency II QIS 5 exercise, where he led the pillar 1 work.
