John is the Head of Automotive for KPMG in the UK. He has helped automotive companies with their strategy, M&A, operational challenges as well as undertaking audit engagements throughout his 24 year career to date. As an Audit Partner he is responsible for many audit engagements of listed, multinational companies principally in the automotive sector. He is based in Birmingham and also has familiarity with aerospace, engineering, retail and property sectors. His recent transaction experience includes equity and debt offerings in the UK and US, IPOs and private equity investment. He is also accredited in US GAAP and IFRS. John has been seconded to corporate tax, personal tax, restructuring and transactions services as well as to US, Australia, France, Germany and Italy. He spent 7 months on secondment at the UK Government (including reporting to the Prime Minister). He has authored three public studies on Driverless Cars, the impact of the UK leaving the EU on the automotive industry and on UK Supply Chain investment opportunities.
