He has worked within the Big 4 and Top 10 accounting firms in the UK and moved to the Isle of Man in 2009 to join another Big 4 firm to help develop and grow their VAT practice within the local market.
Phil has a mixed portfolio of clients across a range of industry sectors including ecommerce, Financial Services, fiduciary, property holding and luxury assets. He focusses on providing VAT efficient and commercially sound advice in such areas as VAT liability issues, VAT recovery, international VAT and land and property transactions.
Phil is a committee member for the Isle of Man branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and regularly provides training and updates on topical and technical matters. He also has more general experience in international tax matters such as the Automatic Exchange of Information and economic substance legislation.
