KPMG UK/Swiss Group has appointed Clare Maio as the new Group Sector Leader for Energy and Natural Resources (ENR) in the UK and Switzerland. Clare will take over from Simon Virley, who retires from the firm in October 2026, to take on a portfolio of non-executive roles in the energy sector.
Clare is currently Global Lead Partner at KPMG UK, a role she will retain alongside her new responsibilities. She has over 20 years of experience in the ENR Sector, having previously worked at Accenture and PwC. Her experience spans working with energy and utilities organisations on large-scale digital, technology and AI change programmes. She supports senior leaders in navigating complex risk challenges, including environmental, social and governance requirements.
