      The International Corporate Tax Services @ KPMG consists of Thai and foreign tax professionals who have global experience in providing robust international taxation advice in all areas of Thai inbound and outbound transactions. With extensive work experience in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, KPMG’s tax professionals have a global mindset supported by deep local knowledge.

      We are seeking a Tax Associate Director to join our growing Tax Advisory team focusing on international tax consultancy and M&A.

      Roles and responsibilities

      • Advise multinational enterprises on tax planning decisions, including helping our clients anticipate and understand the potential short- and long-term considerations and consequences of tax planning decisions at a global level.
        Manage multiple projects, including projects relating to
        • Thai tax advice
        • Taxation of cross-border transactions
        • Tax treaty analysis
        • Business reorganizations
        • M&A planning, due diligence, implementation, and post-transaction business integration
        • Supply chain optimization
        • Identifying and making suggestions to manage tax risks.
        • Tax reporting, Tax audit support
      • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, clients’ other advisors, and other stakeholders.
      • Manage large projects and multiple teams (within KPMG Thailand or other KPMG
        member firms).
      • Mentor and develop staff and review their performance.
        Assist with marketing and business development.
      • Conduct and/or attend tax trainings, and independently keep current of updates in legislation impacting tax matters in Thailand and internationally.

      Qualifications and Skills

      • Graduate / Post graduate degree in Accounting / Tax / related domains.
      • 7+ years of professional and related experience in the domain.
      • Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
      • Good leadership skills with experience in leading large project teams.
      • Knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns
      • Solid knowledge of the Thai Revenue Code, tax rulings, court judgments related to tax maters, and other Thai Revenue Department guidance.
      • Experience with reading and interpreting tax treaties.
      • Knowledge of Board of Investment (BOI) tax incentive schemes, and how taxpayers are required to report income from BOI operations.
      • Knowledge of transfer pricing concepts and reporting obligations.
      • Experience and familiarity with BEPS 1.0 and 2.0
      • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential data.
      • Comfortable to correspond and speak directly with foreign clients and other KPMG member firms, usually in English.
      • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
