KPMG Financial Management Consultant (FMC) Services is part of Financial Services Advisory specializing in helping our clients improve the finance and accounting process. We work with finance and accounting directors, internal audit directors, IT directors and audit committees to develop a quality finance and accounting function that delivers strategic business assurance, identifies business opportunities, and enhances organizational value. The scope of FMC functions is Accounting conversion services, Digital Financial Reporting Advisory, Technical accounting advisory, Financial reporting process, Regulatory report Accounting and Governance, and Finance Transformation.
We are looking for an ambitious data analyst to work with our experienced insurance and banking focused professionals.
Roles and responsibilities
- Support clients in improving finance and accounting processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Assist in accounting conversion projects, including IFRS and other regulatory frameworks.
- Provide technical accounting advisory on complex accounting issues and new standards.
- Contribute to digital financial reporting initiatives, including automation and system implementation.
- Participate in designing and optimizing financial reporting processes and governance frameworks.
- Assist in preparing regulatory reports and ensuring adherence to accounting and governance requirements.
- Work on finance transformation projects, including process redesign and technology enablement.
- Conduct research, analysis, and benchmarking to identify best practices and innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain strong client relationships.
- Prepare high-quality deliverables, presentations, and documentation for client engagements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience in finance, accounting, financial reporting, or audit.
- Experience working with financial institutions (banking, leasing, insurance) preferred.
- Solid understanding of key financial standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform detailed financial analysis.
- Experience in month-end closing, financial reporting processes, FP&A, or process improvement projects.
- Good communication skills, able to prepare structured presentations and documentation.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data tools (Power BI, Alteryx) is an advantage.
- Ability to support diagnostic reviews and gap assessments for finance processes.
- Support project delivery, including documentation, testing, and stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks with supervision.
