      KPMG in Thailand is seeking a Resource Planning Officer to support resource allocation within the Audit function. This role plays a critical part in optimizing resource utilization by ensuring that the right professionals, with the appropriate skills and experience, are aligned to client engagements based on engagement requirements and resource availability. 

      The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Resource Planning Manager, Audit Managers, and key stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights, maintain structured planning processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in resource management. 


      Roles and responsibilities

      1. Reporting & Data Support
        • Manage staff booking requests and accurately update resource allocations in the system. 
        • Collect, clean, and validate resource planning data (capacity, demand, utilization, and staffing allocation) from multiple sources. 
        • Prepare recurring reports (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) with clear analysis of key trends, and mitigation plans. 
        • Support dashboard updates and perform data quality checks using Excel and Power BI. 
           
      2. Resource Planning Management 
        • Plan and execute resource allocation by matching staff skills, experience, and availability with engagement requirements. 
        • Monitor staff workload and address resource shortages with appropriate actions to meet both short-term operational needs and long-term strategic objectives. 
        • Provide recommendations and alternative solutions during resource constraints or scheduling conflicts. 
        • Coordinate with Audit Managers to ensure effective and efficient allocation of audit staff to client engagements. 
        • Coordinate with stakeholders (e.g. Audit Managers, HR, Learning & Development) to support training planning and alignment with resource capability requirements. 
        • Serve as the first point of contact (help desk) for audit resource-related issues and inquiries. 

      Qualifications and Skills

      • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
      • Minimum 2 years of experience in resource planning, workforce planning, or client service environment.
      • Basic project management skills.
      • Negotiation, conflict management and stakeholder management. 
      • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
      • Effective communication and coordination skills with multiple stakeholders.
      • High attention to detail with strong ownership and follow-through.
      • Good command of Thai (Native) and English (both written and spoken).
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP); knowledge of Power BI is an advantage.
