Maria Van Der Valk

Maria is the Head of Financial Risk Management at KPMG in South Africa. She has more than 15 years of risk experience in the Financial Services industry. Maria has accumulated her experience as a Quantitative Analyst in a major South African investment bank (in the risk field) and as a KPMG Advisor to various financial services clients.

Her specialized area of expertise is quantitative modeling across all credit lifecycle stages, including model validation and implementation support, model risk management, and capital management support.
