      Neurodiversity is now systemic

Neurodivergence — particularly ADHD — is increasingly visible across investment and founder led environments. When understood and supported, these traits can be leadership strengths. For investors, recognising how neurodivergence influences decision making, energy and risk is becoming an important value creation lens.

      Female hormonal transitions matter

Hormonal life stages such as pregnancy, postpartum and perimenopause have material impacts on cognitive load and mental health, often coinciding with senior leadership progression. These are predictable, systemic factors — not individual failings — and failure to address them presents a clear retention and performance risk.

      Targeted coaching delivers high impact

Well timed coaching, particularly around maternity and other transition points, was highlighted as a highly effective, low-cost intervention. Tailored support can prevent burnout, retain experienced leaders and unlock performance at critical moments.

AI is already shaping practice and policy

AI is being used across clinical, coaching and organisational contexts — from transcription and insight generation to policy design. Subtle shifts, such as more inclusive policy language, demonstrate how technology can meaningfully influence culture and risk management.

Strong investment themes despite short term friction

FemTech and digital mental health remain compelling investment areas, supported by increasing clinical rigour and scalability. While regulatory uncertainty — particularly around private ADHD diagnosis — is causing temporary friction, this was widely viewed as a pause rather than a structural shift.

      Reframing the ADHD Narrative

The panel challenged claims of ADHD overdiagnosis, particularly in women. Clinicians emphasised historical under recognition and misattribution, compounded by NHS backlogs and variable quality in private provision.

      Key takeaways

      • Neurodiversity is a strategic leadership and investment consideration.
      • Female mental health and hormonal transitions must be addressed systematically.
      • Targeted coaching at key life stages delivers disproportionate returns.
      • AI is already reshaping clinical, coaching and policy practice.
      • FemTech and digital mental health remain attractive despite short term regulatory noise.
