Integrated mobility

Publicly funded transport services across the UK, including local bus services, SEND transport, non-emergency patient transport, social care transport and community transport, are often planned and commissioned separately. This fragmentation can create duplicated journeys, underutilised assets, rising costs and poorer outcomes for users. KPMG, in partnership with Transport East and the University of Hertfordshire, explores how an Integrated Mobility approach can help local authorities design more efficient, connected and user-centred transport systems that improve access to education, healthcare, employment and essential services.
