KPMG bolsters Energy Lead Advisory team with senior hire

Professional services firm KPMG UK has appointed Donnie MacLeod as a Managing Director within its Energy M&A team in London.

Professional services firm KPMG UK has appointed Donnie MacLeod as a Managing Director within its Energy M&A team in London.

Donnie joins the firm from Standard Chartered, where he spent five years as a senior energy M&A banker advising energy clients in Europe and the US. Prior to that he was an energy focused financier at Deloitte for over 10 years. At KPMG, Donnie will focus on advising energy and renewables clients on their involvement in the global energy transition.

Donnie’s appointment sees KPMG’s UK Energy M&A team, which is led by partners Gavin Quantock and Adrian Scholtz, grow to 35 energy advisers with plans for further expansion. Now the business has three Partners and two Managing Directors.

KPMG’s Energy M&A team forms part of the firm’s Deal Advisory practice in the UK, which includes established teams of Valuation, M&A, Debt Advisory and Transaction Advisory professionals, and the firm’s Special Situations & Turnaround, Working Capital Optimisation and Business Transformation teams. This multi-disciplinary expertise enables KPMG’s Energy Lead Advisory team to help clients to play their role in the energy transition by providing bespoke advice, sector insight and deal origination and execution.
