KPMG UK has appointed Katie Clinton to lead its financial services practice in the UK.

Katie replaces Richard Little who is retiring after 29 years with the firm.

Katie has over 20 years’ experience providing audit, governance, risk and control services to clients in the UK and internationally. She joined KPMG in Manchester in 2000 as a graduate trainee in the Financial Services audit team and became a partner in 2014. Predominantly focussed on banking, Katie has also worked extensively across the insurance, asset management and fintech sectors.  She will remain an active consulting partner advising on governance, risk and compliance services.

Karim Haji, EMA and UK Head of Financial Services at KPMG, comments: “I would like to congratulate Katie on her promotion and thank Richard Little for his achievements after nearly three decades with the firm.  Richard has been one of our most client-centric partners and has made immense contributions to our financial services and regional practices since joining.

“Katie’s experience and focus will build on the work we’ve done so far in the regions, and her expertise will help us to continue to deliver exceptional services to our clients.”

Katie Clinton, Partner and Regional Head of UK Financial Services at KPMG, said: “I am really excited to be taking on this new role and look forward to supporting businesses across the UK to thrive. Supporting financial services businesses in the regions through the challenges of inflation, regulatory change as well as helping them to adopt more environmental, social, and governance policies will be some of my key priorities.”
