Chris Townsend CBE, Head of Infrastructure at KPMG, said:

“Any changes to improve the process to build infrastructure is welcome and a positive step forward. Infrastructure projects are the backbone of the country’s economy, providing essential investment while creating jobs and supporting people and their communities in their daily lives. The biggest challenge we face is the delivery of those projects. While this is a step forward to speed up approval processes, it’s vital that we have the right skills, people and technology to deliver these essential projects on the ground.”
