KPMG strengthens Banking team with two new Partner appointments

KPMG UK has appointed Steve Payne and Anand Selvarajan as Partners within the firm’s Banking Coverage team. Both Steve and Anand will help KPMG grow its banking consulting offering and will use their expertise to support clients across capital and wholesale markets.

Steve has over 25 years of experience across banking, capital markets, and investment management and has held senior leadership positions across several international banking and professional services firms. He joins KPMG from PA Consulting where he led their Financial Services business in Sweden and Norway. Prior to that, Steve worked at another ‘Big Four’ firm in Sweden where he was Managing Partner for Financial Services in the Nordics, leading a team of 1000 professionals and 65 partners. Additionally, he was a member of the firm’s Nordic Executive Committee and North South Europe Financial Services Executive Committee.

Anand has over 20 years’ experience in Financial Services, having held senior positions with Merrill Lynch, RBS and RSM International. At Merrill Lynch and RBS, Anand was responsible for growing the business in the UK, across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), as well as leading acquisitions and joint ventures in the Emerging Markets. As RSM’s Regional Leader for Europe, Anand led the management and growth of the firm’s business in the region.
