He has taken all of them to “Low Risk” status with HMRC, resolved outstanding tax issues and tax governance problems and established policies and compliance procedures across all taxes.
At KPMG he has also had client secondments to Ford, Iceland Foods and MK One (clothes retail). Lee has presented to Boards, Audit Committees and CEOs and created Tax strategies for listed groups from the inside and was one of the main authors of Next plc’s well read Brexit policy.
Lee is focused on Retail, Consumer and FMCG clients and has specific expertise in tax governance and risk management, having written the original CCH chapter on SAO as well as operating model optimisation and M&A experience.
Whilst Lee’s primary experience is in the taxation field he has wide commercial finance knowledge and has led Treasury, Pensions, Payroll and M&A in-house functions whilst in industry.
Lee won “Best In-House Tax Leader” in the 2019 Tolleys Taxation Awards.
