Danny has worked with a range of UK and Global insurers, focusing on financial reporting, capital management and finance transformation. More recently he has led the financial impact assessment and supported the IFRS 17 implementation for a FTSE 100 listed composite insurer. Currently, he is also the Review Actuary for the audit of a FTSE 100 listed UK life insurer.
Danny has extensive programme management and change experience including acting as sponsor for a major systems migration, development and launch of new products and leading the delivery of the financial analysis for annual strategic planning. He also has significant experience supporting insurers achieve reporting speed improvements and cost reduction targets.
Danny has significant experience in the bulk purchase annuity (BPA) market. Recently, he advised on the transfer of a large book of in-force annuities from a with-profits fund to a shareholder owned non-profit fund, and advised a major BPA writer on vesting book transfer opportunities which led to two substantial acquisitions of in-force life insurer portfolios. As the lead for the KPMG annual annuity benchmarking survey, he has advised a number of BPA writers on specific pricing and valuation assumptions including allowance for LPI assets within the Matching Adjustment and SCR calculations.
