Ben is a Partner in KPMG's Infrastructure Advisory Practice and leads the Infrastructure Advisory Future Mobility team, providing consultancy services to clients spanning zero-emission mobility, intelligent transport, smart ticketing/fare payment systems, Mobility as a Service (‘MaaS’), Connected & Autonomous Vehicle technologies, Demand Responsive Transport, and Command & Control (including traffic management and signalling).
He advises clients across the business model life-cycle, from market analysis and development of business and digital strategies and operating models through to policy and regulatory model definition, change portfolio & delivery roadmap development, Business Case development, funding and financing, requirements definition, and sourcing.
Ben’s work spans the transport and mobility services industry, and includes both public and private sector clients (e.g. a highly-commended project for a national department for transport, forecasting the growth and impact of new mobility business models including MaaS, Ride-Sharing, Ride-Sourcing, Bike Sharing and new freight & logistics business models; development of decarbonisation and zero-emission pathways for roads, rail, maritime and aviation; and, supporting a well-known MaaS provider to develop its business plan).
Ben has significant experience working with major metropolitan transportation authorities around the globe, including Transport for London, Singapore’s Land Transport Authority, Ireland’s National Transport Authority, and New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority on innovation, asset commercialisation, partnerships, and new business models. Ben has published a number of pieces of thought leadership on the future of the mobility ecosystem, such as Breaking up Bottlenecks with Data & Analytics, When Information Flows so Does Transport, The Digital Traveller; and: Reimagining Mobility as a Service: the MaaS Requirements Index.
