Tom is a senior employment law and industrial relations expert who has for many years supported household name UK businesses with their most complex people related issues. His work for these clients ranges from resolving boardroom disputes, through advice on minimum wage and broader regulatory and pay equality compliance, to implementing global restructuring programmes in both deal and non-deal related context.
Tom has a particular interest in industrial relations and is a recognised expert in this field, having from over 20 years advised unionised employers and those facing requests for union recognition on some of their most critical legal and industrial issues. More broadly, he has extensive experience of helping clients successfully navigate their non-union collective employee relations challenges.These include managing consultation/negotiations with employee forums, preparing for and implementing collective redundancies and TUPE transfers, and the setting up of and consultation with European Works Councils.
Tom works mainly with large corporates and has spent time working in industry in both the transport and financial services sectors.
