Sam has over 15 years of financial services experience and is a key member of the Firm’s specialist Financial Risk and Resilience (FRR) team delivering prudential risk and regulatory reporting assurance and advisory work in the financial services sector.
He specialises in risk and controls, backed by broad assurance experience across complex environments and has most recently supported two GSIBs in their establishment and execution of a Chief Controls Oversight function. Sam has extensive experience leading controls and assurance engagements including regulatory commissioned skilled person reviews. Sam's experience has helped him form a deep understanding of common industry issues across principal risks faced by FS entities, which has seen him become a key subject matter expert within the FRR team.
Prior to joining KPMG Sam has gained experience at another big four accountancy firm, working on a wide range of assurance projects with a focus on data and technology controls, including internal audit and SOx engagements.
