Alan became Chief Operating Officer for Tax & Legal in February 2024. Prior to that he led the Tax & Legal practice for KPMG’s Corporates business in the UK for more than 3 years.
Alan has over 20 years’ experience advising clients on all aspects of UK and international tax. His clients include large listed and privately-held multinationals operating across a range of sectors including Energy & Natural Resources, Life Sciences, Consumer Markets and Aerospace & Defence.
Earlier in his career, Alan led KPMG’s Tax team in Scotland and KPMG UK’s Tax Centre of Excellence in New York. Alan is the current chair of the Tax Board of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
