Francesca is a Partner with KPMG in the UK’s Deal Advisory Deal Execution team and is Head of the Firm’s Synergies offering. She has over 18 years’ experience within KPMG providing deal-related support to clients across a wide range of sectors, at all stages of the deal life-cycle, on both the buy- and sell-side (including bid-defence), with a focus on delivering synergies and synergies-related engagements on over 200 transactions (several of which have set market precedents).
Francesca has been instrumental in developing the KPMG synergy proposition and methodology. Her synergy experience includes:
- Synergy offerings: Synergy assessment / assist, private synergy commentary reports, acting as Reporting Accountant for companies’ Quantified Financial Benefits Statements under the UK Takeover Code (both synergies and standalone transformational benefits), Synergy Benefit Statements, clean teams, post-deal synergy case validation and benefits tracking and reporting. Types of synergy benefit: Cost, revenue, cost avoidance, capex, working capital, financing.
- ICAEW guidance paper: Authored the Synergies chapter of the Valuation guidance paper “Contemporary Valuation Issues Arising in Deals” developed by KPMG in conjunction with the ICAEW in 2017.
