      Brian is a Partner in KPMG’s International Tax practice in the UK and is a specialist in delivering advice on cross-border issues for multinational companies. With over 20 years of Big Four experience, Brian works on all aspects of domestic and international taxation with companies based throughout the UK.

      Brian leads relationships on a number of key accounts, co-ordinating taxation and wider services that KPMG delivers both in the UK and globally. As a lead tax partner, Brian’s role involves co-ordination of tax and broader KPMG services and acting as a global relationship lead.

      He has extensive experience working with privately owned businesses, linking corporate and personal tax considerations and delivering practical solutions to achieve commercial objectives. Brian also has deep expertise in the industrial manufacturing sector and leads KPMG’s transport sector from a taxation perspective.

      Recent projects include:

      • Developing and implementing a global operating structure for a multinational undertaking projects in multiple global locations to manage corporate tax risk and personal tax exposures.
      • Assisting a UK-headquartered multinational on their Profit Diversion Compliance Facility (PDCF) enquiry.
      • Advising on a multi-billion joint venture between a UK-based multinational and a large state-owned Chinese entity.
      • Developing and implementing global tax advice around the inversion of a UK-based multinational group to Switzerland and supporting their subsequent return to the UK.
      • Advising a UK-based asset manager on domestic and international compliance and tax accounting requirements.
      • Advising a UK business entering the automotive sector on operating models to maximise eligibility for tax reliefs and incentives globally.

      Brian is also part of the Advisory Panel for Inspiration For All, a not-for-profit organisation focused on tackling entrenched inequality in society, classrooms and workplaces by investing in leadership. Inspiration For All works with senior leaders in business and education to build skills, increase engagement and radically improve outcomes for young people from lower-income families. Through its Inspiring Partnerships programme, the organisation aims to empower leaders in 1,000 challenging schools over three years, improving opportunities for disadvantaged students.
