    David is a Partner leading the Insurance Regulatory team at KPMG and has over 20 years’ experience in financial services, specifically leading teams on large scale regulatory change programmes for insurance clients. 

    David has significant experience in a variety of Regulatory areas including control function and oversight reviews, past business reviews and remediation, and regulatory relationship management. David has overseen a number of engagements assisting firms with their preparation for FCA’s visits and Thematic Reviews as well as supporting them with their responses. 

    In his time at KPMG he has gained experience in a number of areas through a variety of projects including:

    • Assisting clients in executing their regulatory change agendas including in relation to Pension Reform and SIMR.
    • Advising clients on regulatory relationship management and preparing our Insurance and Banking clients for regulatory interactions.
    • TCF and Conduct Risk assistance and assurance for Banking, Insurance and IFA clients.
    • Governance, Internal Audit and Compliance oversight and effectiveness reviews for a number of clients including a Bancassurer, General Insurer and Life company.
    • Customer remediation exercises for Asset Management, Retail Banking, Investment Banking, Life Assurance and IFA clients.
    • Reviews of suitability and other conduct of business issues including Sales, Complaints, Claims and Renewals including under s166 terms at Banking, and Insurance clients.
