I also spent 3 years as Head of Internal Controls at a FTSE100 technology company. I work with companies to provide assurance opinions over non-financial information focusing on ESG KPIs and disclosures, advise companies on how to prepare for external assurance and provide ESG reporting advice. I’m the KPMG UK lead on ESG assurance and readiness for assurance for the consumer markets sector. I sign the ESG assurance opinion for a number of clients including Smiths Group Plc, Virgin Atlantic and Southern Water. I also act as an expert advisor on assurance to the Voluntary Carbon Markets Initiative (VCMI).
